John is a semi-retired intellectual property and patent attorney. John is both an electrical engineer and a lawyer. Before leaving full-time, John litigated high stakes, multi-party, and often international, IP disputes for Fortune 100 and mid-sized technology corporations. He has tried cases in federal district courts, before the International Trade Commission, and the International Court of Arbitration in London.
For the last forty (40) years, John has evaluated numerous engineering projects in order to provide clients with strategies for directing and protecting their R&D investments and market position. He has also studied and evaluated numerous patents in relation to questions of infringement and validity. He participated in various industry transformations substituting digital for analog technology, µprocessor for digital technology, and the implementation of central software controls for manufacturing and service industries.
As a partner at a nationally recognized IP boutique firm for 26 years and as a partner in an AMLAW100 law firm, John has been involved in developing and implementing patent procurement strategies for numerous improvement/modernization efforts in the manufacturing and service industries.
John has been honored by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers and had been named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
